Child Care Licensing

Child Care Licensing is a statewide program that regulates child care operations and child-placing agencies to protect the health, safety and well-being of children in out-of-home care. CCL inspects child care operations, making sure they meet the standards Texas has set. We put the reports of every inspection online so parents can make the right choice for their children.

Financial Assistance

The child care services program subsidizes child care for low-income families, promoting long-term self-sufficiency by enabling parents to work or attend workforce training or education activities. Health Benefits

Finding the right health plan for your children is important. Texas Children's Health Plan is here to help. We offer coverage for children through CHIP and STAR Medicaid. Most CHIP families pay $35 per year or less to cover all of their children. Medicaid is free for children who qualify.

Recalls

CPSC is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with the use of the thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard. CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed to a decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 40 years.
